Feline Rescue’s Community Cat Day

Feline Rescue’s Third Annual Community Cat Day
Saturday, October 18th, 2014
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Feline Rescue, 593 Fairview Ave N, St. Paul

TNR Workshop. Learn how spay/neuter and Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) can help save more cats’ lives and help reduce the number of homeless cats in our community.

Outdoor Shelter Workshop. Make shelters to help keep outdoor kitties safe and warm this winter. Design and build your own shelter or customize one you purchase. Keep your shelter for cats you are feeding or donate it to our outreach team to pass along to other cats in need. We will also have some shelters ready to give away. For ideas, go to Alley Cat Allies – http://www.alleycat.org/ShelterGallery
To build your own shelter at this event, please bring along: 1 Rubbermaid-type 18 gallon plastic container with snap-on lid, and 1 Styrofoam cooler that fits inside the plastic container. We can help cut holes and provide straw. Dress appropriately for outdoor weather.

Community Cat Food Drive. Bring some cat food – canned or dry. The outreach team distributes food to those in need who are feeding community cats.

For advice or assistance on caring for outdoor cats, Trap-Neuter-Return, low-cost spay/neuter, or this event call FR outreach volunteers at 651-642-5900 ext 4 or email outreach@felinerescue.org

  1. Thank you for hosting this very welcoming community event for the cats! Nora and I really enjoyed helping make a cat shelter and we’ve been spreading the word on how others can make them too!
