Feline Rescue thinks the best way for you to get a feel for the work of the organization and it’s many dedicated volunteers is by letting our adopters (and their cats!) tell their own success stories.

Today we hear from Alice, who adopted Gracie nearly three years ago!

GracieGirl

Gracie is now 5 years old, and has put on a little Santa belly, but she’s still wonderfully active and loves to chase laser pointers, felt strings and foam balls.

She’s started playing fetch! When I toss the ball, she’ll chase it and bring it back to me to throw again, like a dog. She’s also obsessed with pencils and bobby pins. She’ll stalk and leap upon them, and sometimes if she’s playing with a spring toy she’ll scare herself silly when it bounces after her pounces.

We’ve moved several times, and James and I are no longer together, but we’ve shared custody and always keep the other parent in the loop with stupid amounts of cat pictures and videos. Here’s a few with her favorite teddy bear rug.

Gracie’s such a wonderful companion, and her expressive face, mews and mrows make her my favorite roommate to hang out with and talk about my day. She’s a great cuddler (always the little spoon) makes me warm even in the coldest winter.

We have two other cats! Killgore Trout (just Trout for short) and Charlotte, and although they’re not the best of friends, they make our house felinabulous!  Gracie’s the oldest and the queen, and she’s always going to be the first in my heart.

Thanks for all that you do.
