Feline Rescue thinks the best way for you to get a feel for the work of the organization and it’s many dedicated volunteers is by letting our adopters (and their cats!) tell their own success stories.

Today we hear from Eva and Tom, who adopted Stella and Aurora (now Sylvie) December 2014!

Today is the end of our first year with our adopted cats, Stella and her daughter, Aurora, now named Sylvie. … Sylvie was still suckling when she arrived and she continued to do so for several months, until Stella got tired of allowing it. Sylvie is very attached to her mother and looks to her for instruction and comfort. They still wrestle together, share their toys and food, as well as frequently sleep snuggled up next to each other.

While Stella is still not interested in being picked up or held, she does like being groomed and occasionally petted. She is good natured and friendly and will sleep next to us. For now, she is still a bit guarded. Sylvie likes to sleep on our laps and to be groomed but she agrees with her mother that being picked up is not ideal. They both love to play with their toys, either by themselves or with our assistance, which we also enjoy. They have been a wonderful addition to our home and have become great companions. We appreciate your having taken Stella in and caring for her and her four kittens until they could find homes. We are looking forward to many years of fun and affection with Stella and Sylvie.
