The Board of Directors of Feline Rescue, Inc. is pleased to announce that Dana Andresen has accepted the position of Executive Director. Andresen is the first full-time employee and the first Executive Director in this volunteer-based organization.
“We’ve outgrown the 100 percent volunteer model, as most nonprofits eventually do, and are now poised for the next steps of growth and mission fulfillment,” said Alden Drew, President, Feline Rescue Board of Directors. As Executive Director, Andresen will manage the multiple functions that make Feline Rescue successful, including fundraising, donor relations and strategic planning.
Andresen brings a wealth of experience from both the profit and non-profit business worlds. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of the Minnesota Spay Neuter Assistance Program (MN SNAP), where she led the partnership of for-profit veterinary services and nonprofit MN SNAP, including operations, human resources, information technology, fundraising, donor relations and volunteer oversight.
Prior to that, Andresen was Director of Operations for Chuck & Don’s Pet Food & Supplies, where she provided leadership for the regional chain. Her accomplishments there included improved financial performance, increased sales and profitability, and expansion of markets.
Andresen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management/Finance from the Minnesota School of Business. She has participated in many continuing education opportunities and served as a volunteer in a variety of community activities.
Andresen will begin her work at Feline Rescue on April 1.
