Alumni News – Emma Jean

Addy 2

Feline Rescue thinks the best way for you to get a feel for the work of the organization and it’s many dedicated volunteers is by letting our adopters (and their cats!) tell their own success stories.

Today we hear from Julia, who adopted Emma Jean (now Adaline) in the Spring of 2017.

Adaline, or Addy, for short, and I just celebrated her three month adoption anniversary.Addy 1

It’s also Adaline’s birthday this month!  She turns 15 years old this August.  Adaline (named after my grandma) is recently recovering from a dental procedure, with great hopes that she can now enjoy hard treats.  She is endlessly fascinated with the ethernet cord in our home (it’s part exciting and part a terrifying snake!)Addy (Ethernet)

When not hunting the wild ethernet cord, she follows me around constantly waiting patiently for belly rubs and chin scratches.  Adaline and her 14-year-old little sibling, Skyler, mostly keep their distance from each other, except when the morning sunspots necessitate a close proximity.

Addy and Skylar

Adaline  is simply the best!  Thank you, Feline Rescue, for taking care of her while she transitioned between her two families!

Keep up up your wonderful work, Julia

Thank You ASPCA®!

ASPCA_MadePossible_021-422-horiz

Thank you, the ASPCA® for grant support allowing Feline Rescue volunteers and staff to attend the Minnesota Animal Welfare Conference on May 25, in St. Cloud, MN.

16 volunteers and one staff member became better acquainted, mingled with other animal rescue organizations, and LEARNED a lot about many animal welfare and cat care topics! We have a great deal of new information from which we will continue to provide the best care for our cats and continue to improve operations.

Alumni News – Penne

Bella 5 Rev

Feline Rescue thinks the best way for you to get a feel for the work of the organization and it’s many dedicated volunteers is by letting our adopters (and their cats!) tell their own success stories.

Today we hear from Kari and Steve, who adopted Penne (now Bella Moon) in December 2016.

Bella is calico tabby mix with white, gray and reddish-orange coloring. She has a pink nose with gold eyes

Bella 4

Bella gets along great with people. We are really enjoying her. She leaped from a couple feet away into my lap a couple times.

Bella 1

She gets along well with the other cats but the others are not yet comfortable. She establishes her boundaries well, which my cats are not yet used to so they are keeping their distance for now while keeping an eye on Bella.

Bella 5 Rev

Bella will be a year old in June

Bella 3

We are hopeful for a loving amicable cat family, Kari & Steve

Alumni News – Coal & Arabian

coal arabian 2

Feline Rescue thinks the best way for you to get a feel for the work of the organization and it’s many dedicated volunteers is by letting our adopters (and their cats!) tell their own success stories.

Today we hear from Estelle, who adopted Coal and Arabian (now Fred and George) in November 2016.

These two fluffy boys are easy-going, good-natured sweeties. They are definitely a bonded pair now, and love to hang out near me whenever they’re not playing.

coal arabian 2

Fred loves to be held and petted, while George loves to play a lot and check in for affection at will.

Cole:arabian

They love their cat tree from Purrniture, as well as their other toys. George has discovered that all playing is enhanced by being inside the IKEA mesh laundry basket – including chasing Fred. Yes, the basket goes through the house like a tumbleweed, powered by George inside.

Thank you, Estelle
