Feline Rescue thinks the best way for you to get a feel for the work of the organization and it’s many dedicated volunteers is by letting our adopters (and their cats!) tell their own success stories.

Today we hear from Sarah, who adopted James Dean from our foster system in early May!

James Dean & Tonka

Tonka and James Dean (we have not been successful in convincing our boys to change his name … yet!) are doing very well.  It took a very short 24 hours for Tonka to decide that James Dean was a friend.

James Dean is one of the most energetic, friendly, and playful kittens I have ever known!  I think Tonka couldn’t help himself after seeing James Dean play with every single cat toy in our house!  He had to have a part in the fun, too.  They play together, wrestle together, eat together, and usually sleep near each other if not with each other.  Tonka tries to groom James Dean if he’ll sit still long enough!  Tonka definitely has a new pep in his step.

James Dean & Tonka (2)

As for James Dean, he is completely fearless of everything.  He stands in the way of our vacuum, jumps into the shower with our boys, and bats at the water as the washing machine is filling.  This kitty is one of a kind!  He prefers to sleep with my husband or I, nestled in our necks, but will curl up with Tonka, as well.  He loves the boys and will chase them around the house for hours.

James Dean

Thank you for all your help in finding a new companion for Tonka and our family.  We are so appreciative of everything that Feline Rescue has done for us and our kitties.
