“I adopted Alex Morris last year, and is now known as Colby Jack Cheese, aka CJ (or Stinky Cheese when he’s naughty!). He is truly the light of my life. I sobbed with happiness picking him up last year and he has continued to bring me that amount of joy every day since.

CJ is so intelligent, he has caught onto clicker training and knows how to “sit”, “lay down”, and is currently working on “paw”. He has great recall for a cat and knows to come when we call his name. That intelligence can also wreak havoc as he knows how to open the doors in the house and definitely understands that knocking things off my desk will get my attention. We are working on ways to keep his brain busy!

He has an older brother named Harry. The two of them love to play and often chase each other around the house. Harry is ~15lb and CJ has helped him lose some of the weight he needs to! Though listening to the thumps on the ground as they wrestle is pretty funny.

Colby Jack is incredibly affectionate. He sleeps in the crook of my knees every night and runs to greet me when I get home from work each day. He is very vocal and his little meows and chirps are the most wonderful sound after a long day.

Suffice to say, he is my soul cat. Thank you all so much for what you do, and for caring for my sweet baby until I was able to find him.”
