Feline Rescue thinks the best way for you to get a feel for the work of the organization and it’s many dedicated volunteers is by letting our adopters (and their cats!) tell their own success stories.

Today we hear from Janet and Matt, who adopted two special needs cats, Lola three years ago, and Jerry nearly two years ago!

Lola

We adopted Lola almost three years ago from the main location and adopted Jerry about twenty-one months ago from a foster home.  We are so grateful to Feline Rescue for taking such wonderful care of them.  They’ve both been doing great and fit in perfectly with our other nearly 13-year-old cat, Shi Shi.  Lola continues to love her sunny spots and Jerry likes napping on heated blankets and on pillows next to heat vents with Shi Shi as often as possible.

Jerry

On the health front, Jerry’s diabetes is under control and he’s down to just 0.5 units of insulin twice a day, and we’ve been monitoring and removing Lola’s mass cell tumors to keep her healthy (she was diagnosed with cancer about two years ago but she’s been doing really well).  We are enjoying all our time with these very special felines and would encourage everyone to consider adopting older, special needs cats!
