Alumni Adopted in 2017

Frankie & Lola (formerly Schroeder & Peanuts)

Just wanted to let you know that Frankie and Lola turned 4 years old on 3/15/21.

They are happy and healthy and and funny and sweet.
Gus (black) & Frazier (cream), THEN

Gus and Frazier (formerly Prince William and Prince Harry)

Gus is our sweet panther kitty; he’s everyone’s BFF and keeps us informed of everything all day long.

Frazier is our floofy creampuff who’s always willing to snuggle up to one of his kitty siblings.

These two were the best milestone birthday present EVER! They make us laugh every day.

Madoc (Fairfield Madoc 2Formerly Fairfield)

I had just moved into my first apartment and the only thing missing was a cat. My roommate and I fell in love with him when we visited him at the shelter. Madoc is the sweetest, most obnoxious, noisiest, cutest cat. He greets us at the door every day when we come home from work and loves belly rubs and chin scratches. He’s happiest when curled up next to us on the couch. Thank you so much for the work you do! I’m so happy with this wonderful obnoxious cat, and I think he’s pretty happy too 🙂

BeanieBeanie 2 revised

Beanie, our barn cart with Beanie3the half ear*, was adopted in December. He seemed to be a popular cat at the shelter. Now he’s getting along just fine with our other cat, Max, Rumm Tumm as he was known in the shelter, who was adopted in 2016. The two are doing very well.

Bella and Sophie

Here are some photos of Bella & Sophie. They have adjusted very well to our home and they are doing great.

Croggie (formerly Glasgow

Although Glasgow is one of our favorite places, we renamed him Croggie because one of us—Charlie—had a dream that we actually had a cat with that name. We’d never heard the word, but apparently it means a ride on the handlebars of someone else’s bike. Who knew!

He was a quiet, unassuming kitty at first. But he immediately took to us and our home. He’s very playful and affectionate, and he’s quite friendly to all visitors. It’s a perfect fit. We love him!

Winny (formerly Polly

Joel and I want to give you an update on how Polly is doing. First off, she did have a name change. Her name is officially Winny. She’s full of adventure! Winny has brought out the youthfulness in our 4 year old cat, Konga. They’re already best friends. They love to play hide and seek and groom each other.  Winny loves to sit in sinks when you’re trying to use them, jump on counters, and nap under the couch. She is quite the cuddler and has a mighty purrrrr!Winny

We are SO happy she has come into our family. It wouldn’t be the same without her!

Jynx and Reuben (formerly Rori and Romi)

We wanted to send you a few pictures of the kittens we adopted from Feline Rescue.
They fit wonderfully with their adopted cat brothers, Charlie and Rex.P and P 1P and P at window  We love our new boys.

Marley

My son and I recently adopted Marley and I wanted to let you know how well he is doing. He is quite the gentleman to the other cat, Crabbit, who lives here. He’s been to the vet and he’s all up to date on everything now. He and my son are great friends.

Peaches and Brownie (formerly Julia and Popea

Thanks again to all of you for helping us adopt Peaches and Brownie (formerly Julia and Popea). Peaches is the mom and Brownie is the daughter.

PEACHES 3

They love to rough house and then take naps together in the sunlight.  They also love feathered toys and looking out the window at people walking their dogs.  Thank you very much.

Geena

We adopted Geena in February 2017 and she became ruler of the roost almost immediately. She runs around with abandon and loves to try to get us to follow her (or vice versa) around the house. Her favorite chair is the one in this picture. Seems to suit her coloring.

We aren’t quite  sure if our 10-year old cocker spaniel, Bruno, always remembers we have her, but she has gotten use to his curmudgeonly ways and isn’t scared to get up next to him. And honestly, we think he doesn’t mind her either.

Our biggest challenge… she loves her crunchies (hard food) and when she doesn’t have hers she’ll go after Bruno’s so we are trying to curtail that habit.  She is a crazy, spunky and happy kitty and we’re so glad to have her.

Franklin (Biloxi) & Leonard (Staten)

were adopted as kittens from the same foster home in fall 2017.

Max (formerly Sox)

I took Max (formerly Sox) home 3 years ago. He’s exactly the friend I was looking for, a big chatty boy who always has something to say. Thanks so much for taking him in and bringing us together!

Patrick (formerly Jaxson)

We adopted three cats from you and we love them so much! This guy is the funniest. He is so needy and almost cries every time we leave for only 5 minutes. He wants to be with us all the time. He loves mirrors. He appreciates the handsome guy in the mirror and gets stunned by his good-looks. He is very energetic and loyal and would guard our home whenever there are unidentified visitors and make sure everything is in order. After a day’s work, he certainly needs a lot of me-time by resting in the washbasin and enjoying the moisture.

Pandora and Lily (formerly Lilith)

Pandora and Lily (Lilith) were so scared and skittish when we got them in 2017. It took them 3 years to sit on our laps, but now it’s a favorite spot 🙂

Tia

I wanted to say thank you so much! She has been so loving & playful & the best companion!

Ellington

When we adopted Ellington in 2017, we were just getting over the loss of our 19yo boy cat and were hoping to find another polydactyl cat to bring into our many toes household. When we learned of Ellington, we were told by his foster family that he loved other cats but wasn’t so sure about humans, and that he might be the cat that we only ever see ‘over there’.  Sure enough, he spent his first several months trying to be as close to our other two cats as possible, but we celebrated those occasions when he would allow us to get close enough to briefly pet him, or when he didn’t realize that the other cat he wanted to be with happened to be sitting on our laps on a blanket. Over the last couple of years with the humans being at home most of the time, he has become more and more brave, and now will intentionally walk over to us and talk to us and ask to be petted. He still loves the other cats more than the people, but the people aren’t as scary anymore.
