Alumni adopted in 2023

Squash

Squash is doing great! She really seems to be settling in here. She’s eating and playing and isn’t afraid to demand cuddle time.  I’m so happy with the progress she’s made.

Remi

We wanted to thank you for all your help bringing Remi into our home.  He is settling in amazingly well and is truly the best companion for our daughter.  Remi and our Beagle have bonded and spend a great deal of time together (maybe it is because of their similar size?!?!).  They can be found snuggling close to each other on a regular basis on our daughters bed for their afternoon nap.

Finn (formerly Siam)

Meet Finn.  He was born 10/10/19 in a small town up north. I met him at Feline Rescue, Inc. a few weeks ago and it was love at first fluff.

Finn is the most loving and playful kitty – he is up for cuddles at any time of day and never turns down a moment to chase toy mice. He is friendly towards guests and has the sweetest purrs. Since adopting him, I’ve had to schedule 20 extra minutes into my morning routine as I find myself spending that much time telling him how pretty he is.

Every morning he tries to convince me he’s never eaten a day in his life. I’m not as easily swayed, but my roommate is and as a result Finn is the recipient of copious amounts of treats. But he’s completely worth it. I’m so grateful to have him here.

Chuck (formerly MiLady Millie de Sasspants)

She is doing well. She is happy.  It took just a week for our other cat to be comfortable with her.  She loves the basket she has to sleep in and prefers it, even though at night she does come in with us.  She has a squeak to her like the sound a dog toy makes, it is so cute. Her new name is “Chuck” (Our other cat is Bob – so we had to go with the theme) But really it should be “squeaker”.  She comes when she is called and has the cutest sweetest cuddle when she is happy to see us (She nuzzles in right up to our neck).  She is at home and so very curious. We love her.

Bernadette

Bernadette is making herself right at home, and has been incredibly social with everyone in the house and all visitors!  She has definitely found her favorite spots  to lounge and perch.  A welcome addition to the family 🙂

Honey Butters (Formerly Ronald McDonald)

He is doing really well.   He has been interacting with the other cat. He eats really good.  Loves toys and Laser pointers.   He is so affectionate and lovable. He’s a keeper.

Tululah (formerly Boots Vada)

She has settled in nicely since her Feb 2023 adoption and the two other Feline Rescue alums in the household (Dervin and Booshie) have accepted her into the pack. We love her very much even when she’s being a crazy teenager. She’s a little firecracker and she has brought out the kitten in our older boys.  She had a little cold but we took her to our vet this week and now she’s being medicated so she’s even more lively! Thanks again!!

Kismet (formerly Draygonne)

Hi everybody! I am enjoying realizing all of my diva potential and tendencies! I let my new mom pick me up and I beg for her pets and scritches. I am still jumpy and very self aware, but that just lets others know they’ll need to earn my trust. After all, a diva like me can’t be too careful!

I weigh 6.4 pounds and I’m beginning to let mom help brush me and I secretly love when she finds and removes a matt- I may bat her a good wallop or two to remind her of my feline feistiness! I am loved beyond measure. Living a spoiled and comfortable new life.

Dusty (formerly Dusty Burgess)

She is doing very well; she settled right in. She is enjoying watching birds and the snow falling through the patio doors.
I am enjoying her company and I love listening to her purring and talking.
I think she is the perfect match for me.

Leonor (formerly Nicole)

When I adopted Victor back in December, I thought I had adopted the snuggliest cat ever, but then came Leonor! She is baby, and loves to be held and carried around, especially on my shoulders! When I’m walking and we make eye contact, she comes to me and stands with her paws on my legs, politely suggesting that I pick her up. Once she’s up, she meows and looks around to see what other taller surfaces could she possibly reach. She loves heights! I first noticed this at the shelter when she almost slipped out of my hands because she wanted to climb the top of her kennel, and since she’s been home she’s reached great heights – including climbing the top shelf of my closet, and climbing to the top of my canopy bed. Back on the ground though, she’ll often sit on my lap and will just melt into my arms like a baby.

Shortly after adopting Victor, I knew I wanted to adopt a friend for him. I started with a slow introduction, but they were both eager to meet each other and within a few days they were hanging out and co-existing peacefully! They are both just so gregarious and compatible with each other! Now that it’s been warm, they’ve really been enjoying hanging out by the open windows and patio door. At night, they both sleep with me, and Victor likes to lay his head on my leg while Leonor likes to sleep on top of my actual head, which is the cutest thing ever! I’m a very happy cat lady, thank you Feline Rescue for giving me these angels ❤️

Tuck Zito (formerly Sirius Black.)
Tucker has been a wonderful addition to our family! He is such a love bug and so sweet! Celia, our other cat, is slowly coming around and tolerating him. Lol. So grateful for your organization for allowing us to adopt him.

Tucker is doing wonderfully. We ended up getting a baby kitten and he has been a wonderful big brother. We love him and are grateful to have given him his forever home.
Jim Jim (formerly Marmalade Jim)

Marmalade Jim had a rough start after being thrown out of a moving car and rescued by a Good Samaritan.  FR Community Outreach & Services stepped in and Jim Jim quickly transitioned into the most loving companion with an adopter named Jim.  It was destiny!  Update note from his adopter:  “Today is a big milestone for Marmalade Jim and me. It is our 6-month anniversary! It has been a wonderful 6 months. JimJim has filled out weight-wise and shown to be a much younger cat than we thought. He is smart, athletic and at turns affectionate and independent. I love him so dearly. I thank you so much for bringing him to me, and thanks to all at Feline Rescue.”

Lulu

We expected to have to keep Lulu apart from our other cat, Tim, for a while. All we  heard out of Tim was hissing; no aggressive behavior. Lulu quickly figured out that Tim is just a big teddy bear and is taking full advantage of that. After about one day of getting comfortable in our bedroom, she now shows no fear of Tim and they both have made attempts to play with each other. Lulu is very affectionate and loves being pet!

Odie (formerly  Yoda)

Odie has found his new home and a human to watch over. He’s now called Odie, because he acts more like a dog than a cat. He’s not shy about demanding attention and pets all day everyday with his meows. He also reminds his human to take breaks during work. He loves to chase lasers and check out what’s inside the fridge everytime it’s opened. Odie has been giving his human so much love since day one. Thanks for this match, Feline Rescue team!

Ephraim and Menashe (formerly Silas & Kabob):

It is such a joy to have kitten energy in the house again! They have settled in nicely, and are, indeed, very much a bonded pair. In addition to the usual signs of mutual affection, they also engage in strategic cooperation, both in play, and in the management of their people.

Linus (formerly Jupyter)

He loved to hide under my sister’s bed at first, but has since warmed up to enjoy all areas of the house and likes spending time with their other cat, Stewart (tabby.) He is a snuggle bug as you can see and is so, so loved in his new home! I enjoy visits with him.

Tetris

My husband and adopted Tetris.  Thank you all for your help in adopting her!

She is playful, social, affectionate, talkative, and we love her so much. She adjusted to our house immediately and seems to be extremely comfortable and happy with us! She spends her days lounging in our windowsill while sunbathing and people watching. She likes playing with her toys, and her favorite is her crinkly tunnel. She loves pets, forehead kisses, and constant attention. She’s been a real source of joy in our lives and we are so happy to have her with us. Thanks again for being so awesome!

Miles

My husband and I wanted to thank you for bringing Miles into our lives! The minute we saw him and he jumped into my arms we knew that he was the one. He is settling into his new home very well, he has already found his favorite windows to sit in and watch the birds and loves playing with all his new toys! We love him very much and are thankful to you for taking such good care of him until he found his forever home!

Mochi and Sushi

Mochi and Sushi are doing well and have settled in nicely! We’re enjoying getting to know them and see their personalities come though. They are becoming more social and less fearful. They even socialized a bit with some guests- so they’re making a lot of progress! We laugh at their goofy and high energy moments and how food motivated Mochi is, Sushi’s dislike for closed doors, and their habits of carrying toys all over the house – even up and down 2-3 floors. They do welcome being petted too and will even sit next to us sometimes if it is cold. We really are enjoying them so much! After the loss of our beloved senior cat, we were a little worried, but I think having these sweet and playful cats has helped us continue to heal and find room in our heats for other cats.

Melon (Formerly Stevens)

He is super cuddly.  He’s really playful and loves my other kitty.

Rain

Our Rainy guy is doing great! Still playful as ever, he loves rolling around on his scratcher and in his little tent as well as bolting all over the apartment after ping pong and golf balls. He’s very chatty especially when watching for birds out the window. He does GREAT when we have friends over, goes right up to them and wants to play! He’s having no issues with appetite or using the litter box, still gets overstimulated at times and bitey but we are very attentive to Rain’s signals and know when to let him have some alone time!

Pippin (formerly known as Oquawka)

Pippin is doing great!  She is so lovable and always up for long petting sessions.  She is now part of our household.

Captain Tom

He’s settled in nicely, as you can see he’s made himself the boss of the place. He LOVES to supervise! Not so much of a lap cat, but he really likes to be included in everything we are doing. As long as it’s on his terms, he’s happy. He’s such a good fit with us.  And what a thunderous purr! Dude just walks around purring like it’s his walk-up music.

He got a clean bill of health from the vet recently, and is going in for his dental cleaning at the end of the week.  Thanks to you for helping us meet this guy!
Stanley (formerly Cheetoh Dude)

A stansome guy and very sociable!

Bug (formerly Seal)

We immediately landed on the name Bug- snuggle bug, nervous bug, love bug.  When we met him he was SO nervous and sweet and I knew he would complete our little family. He was nervous at first, and our resident cat was not happy. But he came out of his shell so so quickly and has eventually won the heart of Oscar, our other cat.  Bug is now so rambunctious, chatty, playful, and such a snuggly noodle.  We love him so!

Tiago

He’s exploring our whole house. He met our senior dog Sasha and they both kind of ignored each other. Neither one has much interest in the other. He’s doing great using the litter box, eating his meals completely and we love him. My husband is already starting to bond with him, even though he wasn’t the proponent of getting a cat. I came back from volunteering this afternoon and he was on our bed upstairs with Tiago laying on his chest while he was reading.

Ichabod (formerly Nico Boomer)

Ichabod quickly became best pals with my resident cat Geno. When they’re not busy playing together, he enjoys lounging in his cat tree and sitting on the back of the couch to look out the window. He fits in so perfectly with our little household and we’re so happy to have him!

Rocky (formerly Cheesy Bread)

My partner and I absolutely love Cheesy Bread and he’s made a great addition to our family!

Simon Potato

We are sharing our precious boy we adopted back in April, Simon Potato (we kept his name since it was so fitting!)

Elysium

After a rather extended getting-to-know-you period, Elysium is happy in her new home,  She is a feisty, playful, smart kitty who is curious about everything.  Thanks for helping with the adoption.

Sassy Taragon

We’ve had Sassy about 2.5 weeks now, and we are just in love with her.  I have a cat cam set up in the living room, and she’s spending her days sunbathing and relaxing while I’m at work. She is an avid biscuit maker and is the boss of her bakery!!! And she loves to play and snuggle with her human sister after school! Her human grandma has already figured out her favorite treats, and she brings her a new toy every time she visits!

Adopting a senior cat was the right choice for us, and we are so happy! Thank you again for helping us find our baby!!

Vera (formerly Shylo)

When I first met Vera, I put my hand into her kennel for her to sniff, and she immediately put her tiny head into my hand and rolled over with the loudest purrs I’ve ever heard! I knew then that she would have to come home with me. The very next day I came back with my fiancé and took her to her furever home with us!

Vera loves to snuggle and when its bed time, she likes to lay on top of our pillows right next to our heads. She LOVES to go outside on her harness, whenever her harness comes out she gets so excited! She is the most talkative kitty I’ve ever met, she always has something to say! She chirps at us as soon as we come home, and if you meow at her she will hold quite the conversation! She also loves getting her nails clipped – she is quite the unique lady! Vera is the most perfect and special cat, and even though she’s only been with us since May, we cannot imagine life without her!

Thank you so much Feline Rescue, for giving us the best cat in the whole world!

Iskierka and Bingley (formerly Belatrix and Malfoy)

They are doing wonderful and are the perfect little additions to our family; they are absolute darlings.

Selena

FeLeuk+ and doing great!

Smokey (formerly Smokey Turducken)

Mr Smokey is doing fantastic; he and my other cat are now best friends!

Andromeda (Sapphire Peony)

I had adopted the lovely Andromeda (formerly Sapphire Peony) a couple months back. She is such a sweet beast and I’m so thankful that she is in my life. Her favorite pastimes are parkour (she’s not good at jumping) and trying to eat chip bags (no interest in the actual chips.)

She is happy, healthy, and a lovely criminal. She’s super curious, smart, an absolute weirdo, getting lots of playtime, and tons of love.

Sunny (Sunflower Pakel)

Sunny is settling in really well, and I think he’s thrilled to have kitty friends.

Sunny and 2 others chase each other around the house, and I mean really making the rounds. All the way into the far bedroom upstairs, downstairs, ricocheting off me and through the kitchen. They’re having such a good time, and Sunny continues to be the sweetest little fellow.

Thank you so much for helping him into my life!

Khoai (formerly Alice Lucille)

Khoai (which means “potato” in Vietnamese!) and she’s been an excellent addition to our household! We’ve discovered that she has a bit of a cattitude and will wait for you to be alone to sit on you and purr—her way of cuddling!
