Feline Rescue thinks the best way for you to get a feel for the work of the organization and it’s many dedicated volunteers is by letting our adopters (and their cats!) tell their own success stories.
Today we hear from Will, who adopted Aila over a year ago!
I adopted Aila a little over a year ago! I still remember that day. I was there with the girl I was dating and we were looking to adopt one of your cats. When I first tried to pet Aila, she bit me. However, my girlfriend really wanted to adopt her, so I didn’t tell her about it. When we first brought her home, she hid behind the toilet for the first couple days. She was very slow to trust and, at first, she didn’t like me very much. But I was patient and now she and I are just as close as I could possibly imagine us being. She got me through a rough break up. And when I had surgery, she never left my side for the entire week I was recovering at home.
She really enjoys running up and down the stairs, and she is very playful and affectionate. She greets me at the door every day when I get home from work and sleeps in her little bed next to mine every night. I honestly can’t picture my life without her.
