Feline Rescue thinks the best way for you to get a feel for the work of the organization and it’s many dedicated volunteers is by letting our adopters (and their cats!) tell their own success stories.

Today we hear from Meriel, who adopted Clio from our foster system last winter!

 Clio3

We adopted Clio from a foster family last winter after my beloved kitty
friend, Jeoffrey, passed away after 19 years.  She was fostered by a veterinarian, as she had severe eye infections that required the removal of one eye.  It took her a while to come out of her shell; she was a quiet, shy little thing.  She has partial vision in her remaining eye, but she gets around quite well.

[Clio] didn’t get along at first with our remaining cat.  As it happens, I brought home a stray kitten that we caught at the school where I was teaching.  It was one of those, “Only until we find a good home” situations.  But we noticed that Clio got along much better with the younger kitty (now known as Young Hector) so we decided to keep this kitty as well.  Clio (aka the one-eyed pirate cat, Peeper, and The Peeps — she is so vocal, always chirping like a little bird!) has become playful, affectionate and quite the under-foot-in-the-kitchen kitty!  All three kitties now get along very well and we love her very much.

We are so happy to have found [Clio] through Feline Rescue.
