Feline Rescue thinks the best way for you to get a feel for the work of the organization and it’s many dedicated volunteers is by letting our adopters (and their cats!) tell their own success stories.

Today we hear from Lauren, who adopted kittens Jackie and Irena (now Felina and Lucinda) from our foster system last November!

I LOVE my kitties — no longer Jackie and Irena but [now] Felina and Lucinda.  I named them for the little girls in the book “The Little Leftover Witch.”  I read it every Halloween as a kid and since I couldn’t bring my girls home until after Halloween because Felina is all-black, these names seemed fitting.  And they are perfect.  Felina is playful and curious and the first to try everything while Lucinda is a bit of a princess but will follow after Felina in new games and areas of the house.  One of the funniest things about the two of them is that they play fetch!  I throw a wadded up piece of paper and they chase after it (usually sliding across my wood floor) and promptly bring it back.  I’ve played fetch with them for over 30 minutes sometimes.

[Feline Rescue foster volunteer] Joan … was so great when I decided to adopt my girls.  It was the end of September and I wouldn’t be able to bring them home until November 1 and she let me come visit weekly and sometimes more so that they could get to know me before coming to my house.  …

Things are going very well!
