Introducing Phil Manz, Feline Rescue’s New Executive Director
On behalf of the Feline Rescue Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce our organization’s new executive director, Phil Manz.
Phil was the Board’s unanimous choice to lead the organization forward following an exhaustive search that yielded multiple highly qualified candidates.
Phil Manz is a St. Paul native has served in multiple nonprofit leadership positions over the years-for organizations working in human services to affordable housing to senior healthcare. More important for us, he has a strong track record of successfully guiding mission-driven organizations from needing to grow to survive, to achieving that growth and being positioned to meet stakeholder needs for years to come. In our case, the stakeholders are the cats we serve. Feline Rescue and its wonderful volunteers and staff have made substantial progress over the last three years in shifting our systems and practices toward where they need to be if we want to continue meeting our stakeholders’ needs. Now we need to focus on making these important changes sustainable over the long term, and Phil’s expertise and collaborative leadership style will serve us well as we embark on this next phase in Feline Rescue’s evolution.
Phil’s first day on the job will be Monday, October 7. I know he is eager to meet each of you, and to learn and listen as he goes about his work. You’ll also have a chance to meet and learn more about Phil at the Alley Cat Bash on October 19.
Please join me in welcoming Phil to the Feline Rescue family!
